Year 6 Bikeability

21st September 2015
Outspoken Cycle trainers attended the school this week. They worked with 28 of our Year 6 children, who attended the Bikeability training - learning the vital skills needed to ride their bikes with care on the road.
They started with a session on the playground, ending the session with an assessment of their skills. The following sessions were held on local roads, with a chance to put their learning into practise. The instructors were very pleased with the children's progress, and commented on how well they all listened and worked with care during the sessions.

The children earned certificates and badges - which were presented in Friday's assembly. We hope they will put the skills they have worked hard to develop into practise when they ride their bikes in the future.
