Learning and Wellbeing Mentor

25 hours a week; Monday – Friday, 8.50am – 3.20pm

Level 3 Scale Points 7-11 (£22,369 – £24,054 FTE pro-rata)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team from April 2023, as a Learning and Wellbeing Mentor. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled Teaching Assistant to support children through supporting their wellbeing through structured support, and identification of barriers to learning. Full support and training will be provided.

The role will involve supporting children, on a ‘one to one’ basis or in small groups. You will liaise with other members of staff and parents regarding strategies to support. This is a new role in our team, and will have support from the Senior Leadership Team.

Ideally, you will be caring, empathetic, supportive, sensitive and a good communicator with pupils, staff and parents alike. The successful candidate must be able to offer a sensitive approach to pupils and support them during times of difficulty by putting in place supportive strategies.
Flexibility and the ability to work independently and as a member of a team are essential.

The hours of work will be each day, Monday – Friday, 8.50am – 3.20pm, term-time only. This position includes lunchtime support.
