Year 5 Leicester Space Centre Trip

15th October 2015
Our Year 5 pupils enjoyed a visit to Leicester Space Centre - as part of their learning about the Race for Space.

Whilst they were there, they enjoyed a hair-raising trip to Jupiter's ice moon in a simulator. It took 365 days to get there and 365 days to get back! The children of KS5 explained, "It was the trip of a lifetime, we were the first to step on Europea. The G-force was so strong we shrieked with excitement. We even got to wear cool 3-D glasses!" They explained that they say craters and lakes. Poppy "Neil" Armstrong told everyone that she collected moon rock from the iciest moon in the Milky Way.

They will never forget the experience they witnessed. When they returned to planet Earth, their families and teachers were very proud.
